if i pray to the tooth fairy the same prayers that christians pray to their god (that their broken bone will mend, that i will recover from the flu, that a loved one will be healed from a wound), and my prayers are answered does that prove the tooth fairy to exist?

isnt that a big "fact" christians use to prove their god exists?

You know you do not have to believe the way we do but that does not give you the right to make fun of us. One day you will say I wish I had listened maybe they were right!

I guess some of us are saying something right because some people do not want to know the truth! We are getting thumbs down.

No. Most Christians will tell you that we can't "prove" that God exists. Answered prayer is just ONE of the many pieces of evidence that points to the existence of God.

However, the Bible cites faith as the key to answered prayer. Jesus told the woman who touched the hem of his garment "your faith has made you whole." God honors faith in almost every form, so technically if you did have enough faith that you would get what you asked for from the tooth fairy, you could get it. The problem is that faith is a gift, and it is unlikely that you would have enough faith in the tooth fairy to get what you wanted, especially since you have no reason to believe that you'll get what you ask for. The reason that people have faith in God is that they've seen him answer prayer over and over again. The tooth fairy has never answered anyone's prayers.

Faith is the principle behind some of the more difficult to explain magic "tricks".

nope. i am a christian and i have never even thought of it like that. If you pray to the tooth fairy and your prayer is answered in your favor doesn't mean that the tooth fairy exists and you may think of it like the same way with God. I simply choose to just use my faith to believe that their is a God. I have never had God talk to me or anything, but i just know that there has to be a God guiding me whenever i feel like i cannot go on any longer. did that help? i hope it did.

not at all. In school we were always told God provides what you need, according to his plan for you, not what you want or what you think you need. Prayers are a way to find god, not to get what you want. God didnt even answer Jesus's prayers to save him from a painful death when he was in the garden of Gethsemane after the last supper, as it went against the plan that God had for him. In believeing in God you submit to his plans, and accept that he knows what is best for you, even if this includes suffering from a painful illness etc, it all has some meaning as to your ultimate destiny. Think about it God lests things like Tsunamis and hurricanes happen to people, its about his plans for you nto what would gve you an easy ride unfortunately. It may be to make you stronger or for any number of reasons you cant understand at first. Point is christians believe in god despite the fact that they may pray for a sick loved one to get better but it doesnt happen. They trust in God without evidence. There can be no proof of God, thats why christianity is called faith and not a branch of science. If you need proof of something you dont trust or have faith it it. Like how much would you really believe or love your own child for example if they were accused of something but you didnt believe it wasnt them despite them telling you it wanst until there was hard proof?

So if you pray to the tooth fairy to win the lottery and you do thts called coincidence! Something tht was meant to happen anyways. And if you prayed for £1 cos uve lost a tooth and you get one the next day, thts your parents, if your over 8 and stil praying to the tooth fairy its likely your psychiatrist will have advised your parents its best to play along!

If that is the only things a person prays for I question how big their faith is. I pray for those little things as well as some things that in the natural are impossible, and some have already come true.

For someone with the name Chippy, you sure are a downer. I'm not overly religious, but your smug attitude is annoying. So let me tell you what I believe. I believe you come from a religious family and you are trying to over compensate by hating religion. Your probably in you late teens or early twenties. I bet you aren't that great with the ladies and/or have homosexual tendencies. And most people hate you.

God is still reigning over your fairies and is properly sadden by your antics, and what you deem important, for he said,"worry not for things in this world",where it will become rusty, stolen, and of no use.Everyone is going to inherit eternal life. The question is where?so look at the things, that will last and cement your place with the lord,Jesus Christ.
