Everywhere I go it's Happy Holidays and Seasons Greeting..What about Merry Christmas. Why do people take Christ out of Christmas? And don't you dare say it's because of our "multiculturalism" That, to me, is 100% bull$hit! Other countries are proud of their heritage, they do not bend down for the minorities and change their traditions. Why do we feel the need to change our traditions to appease the minorities who we have graciously taken in. Is taking them in not enough?? Then they demand we change our traditions to make them happy. This has gone on for too long. If a person comes to this country they should RESPECT out traditions, not try to CHANGE them. I'm sick of it and in protest I am hanging a HUGE sign that says MERRY CHRISTMAS or KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS! on my lawn. I would urge others to do the same. Hope you all have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

well said! I believe in saying Merry CHRISTmas as well! people are always afraid of "offending" other people. I don't get it though. The whole reason the holiday season even exists is becasue of Christ being born!
people shouldn't be so worried of offending others-it's kind of offending that people are afraid to say Christ!
Also, your right-when people come here they need to respect us, not try and change us! If they can't do that then don't come in the first place.
~our church, by the way, has a sign just like that that says keep christ in christmas! :) ~

It's because political correctness has made people become mentally retarded....I assume that other religious minorities get offended when Christians celebrate a holiday and actually enjoy it...

And you are right, it has nothing to do with multiculturalism. I live in one of the most multicultural cities in the world, barely anybody is christian or white, and white christians are actually the minority in most parts of my city, but for some reason, we have common sense, and we stick to our traditions, so wherever I go in my city people still say Merry Christmas no matter what ethnicity they are or religion... and there are X-mas signs in stores everywhere. If you visit our airport, theres a large sign that says Merry Christmas!
We're pretty proud of our heritage and traditions, and we plan on carrying that on.

I'm a third generation American, brought up Christian, and have slowly become an Agnostic with a particular interest in Paganism. "Merry Christmas" means nothing to non-Christians. If card companies and what not go back to using "Merry Christmas" on all their holiday cards, what are the other people of other religions (for example, Pagans, who celebrate the winter solstice) that don't believe in Christ going to send to their families? Didn't the immigrants that first came to America, come here to escape religious persecution? So why push other religions into the background? The US should not revolve around Christianity. We're a country of such diversity and it should be recognized as what it is.

Happy Holidays came about from the PC crowd because they are so afraid of offending someone. Someone once said "Merry Christmas" to an individual and he in turn said "Happy Hanukkah." They both smiled as I said Happy Hanukka and they in turn said Merry Christmas. Nobody of them was offended. They both repected the other's beliefs and were wishing them good will.

If someone's feelings are so delicate as to be offended by someone wishing them a Merry Christmas, all I can say is get a helmet, because life is tough. Next we wouldn't be able to say "have a good weekend" because it might offend people who have to work on the weekend.

Its because the political correctness is out of control in this country because we are afraid of offending someone. Yet, we are supposed to respect the holiday traditions of other people when they don't even respect ours.

Nothing like going out and hearing "Holiday Tree.", or my all time favorite at a store near my home "Holiday Canes"

I heard on the radio last night about a guy complaining about a Christmas tree being in a public place because he felt it was religious. How is a tree religious?

I hope you have a Merry Christmas.

My American family can't go home from Christmas because my wife has been refused a visa by the US Government again. Year after year we try, but because of illegal immigrates they think we're criminals too. My American kids think grandma and grandpa are Santa Clause. They never have seen them they get get present in the mail.

I'm in China where Christmas comes and goes with out being seen. The sub tropical weather, and the Godless society make it easy to forget what Christmas feels like.

You want me to have a Merry Christmas than pray for my family to go home for Christmas. That would make my Christmas.

Remember, we have to be politically correct because we wouldn't want to offend anybody. By the way....MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I'm with you. It is BS. It is true that many people are not Christian but, most of them don't cry and whine when they see a Christmas tree or a Cross either. It is the few people that take everything they don't agree with and act like it's something against them personally. Most businesses that have gone from saying "Merry Christmas" to "happy holidays" or "seasons greeting" only do so because they don't want to get sued by one of these whiny bit*hes. Sea-Tac Airport recently took down all their decorations because some Jewish guy was offended and threatened to sue. If you don't like it, don't look at it. F*ck all these pus*ies. They will continue taking Christ out of as many things as possible. It's too bad. Anyway, again...MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you whether you like it or not.

How about the Seattle airport taking down all its Christmas decorations because some one objected? Now that's just wrong.Celebrate it the way you want too and say it where ever you go.This PC is just BS wrapped up
in multi colors .MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.
and I'm agnostic but I still celebrate

Its not the illegal immigrants most of them are Catholic as with the legal immigrants. They don't get the blame on this one.
