There are no 'breaks' you are either in a relationship or you are not.

A break means he wants to be break up with you, but until he has someone new in his life he doesn't want you to date anyone so he can always come back.

You should have more pride than that, if he wants to be with you he wants to be with you, if he don't he don't. Don't let him play the "we're on a break" game.

You're back to interviewing for the job with him. He's back to taking applications. I would use this opportunity to date other people and find someone else. If you chase him around or seem needy, he will be gone. If you accept it and move on, there is a better chance he will come back. Go meet someone who really wants to be with you. Its not like there aren't 5 billion people on the planet.

A lot of times when htey say they want a "break" it probably means they just need some time to see if you are what they really want. They just wanted to go out and see if they can find somebody that can take your place, if they can't find anybody then he's coming back to you...promise...just give him time!!!

All men go from being tigers to cats, they just choose the woman to do it to them. You're not her for him. You have just been dumped. Enjoy your newfound single life.

However, look on thr bright side...he may call you you drunkenly at 2 in the morning looking for a booty call! Stay by the phone and hope!

my bf did that around the same time into our relationship as well. He reassurred me that he loved me..but wanted a couple days to do his own thing. He got it and he's been nicer(for the most part) since. Its weird he won't give you any answers though...he should at least reassure you. As hard as it will be try and give him space and don't call him. good luck

in case you the two have agreed to be in a distinctive relationship, then you definately are boyfriend and female chum! =] although, in simple terms kissing and hugging does no longer make good. Have a verbal settlement to ward off that awkward 2d. :)
