You need counseling/therapy..... seriously. Your mother has issues that have affected your life and choice of men, and your ex is very dysfunctional too, and an alcoholic based on what you've shared here.

Your own childhood, no doubt has a lot of issues from parent's divorce, etc. and until you resolve that, you will not be able to choose the right kind of guy, and will gravitate toward guys with problems. Do yourself a favor and get some help before getting into any other relationships. Hopefully, if you work through your issues with a good counselor, you will become stronger and have a good future with happy relationships.

Best Wishes,

Sue

Sounds like your mother is going through a lot, too, but that doesn't excuse her behavior. Does your ex actually believe the things she is telling him? I'd sit down with your ex and see what he has to say about things.

holy crap, you need help! listen, no guy is worth being treated like this. if he only calls you when hes drunk, he is only looking for one thing. as for your mother you need to explain to her that she needs to stay out of your business and definitely not call your boyfriends, ex or not.
