Do singles cruises work?

Anyone here ever gone on a (heterosexual) singles cruise?
How much did it cost? What was it like? How was the experience? Was it worth it? What kind of activities were there? What were the people like? Did a relationship result from it?

i would remain skeptical because the people come from all over & it is difficult to keep in touch.
