if god knows everything, then why would he even bother creating people he knows are going to end up in hell? isn't that cruel? if he knows they are going to be damned forever ahead it doesn't make sense to me why he would still create these people! any thoughts?

remember to be careful not to contradict yourself...... if you say that you have free will then you are saying god is not all-knowing...... if you say he is all-knowing then you are saying you know he created condemned people and belssed people....

If there was no evil, would it be possible for there to be good? Taking the premise that there is, in fact, a "GOD", and in keeping with that idea, places such as Heaven and Hell, we would have to believe that God does know everything. As the religious one's will tell you, God has a divine plan. HE (figurative term) simply sets things in motion, hoping that we will make the right choices. The choice of good over evil. With all the "tempations" set up all around us, there are still things which are inherently good and inherently evil. The ability to choose is within each and every one of us. Logically, God would know this because He made it so. It would then stand to reason that it is God's Faith in Man that would give Him the hope that we choose good over evil. As a fair and just God, He would have to give even the evil Man a chance at "redemption". That could never be considered cruel if the choice was "ours" to make.
However, wouldn't the same set of circumstances apply if there was no God? It would have to. We know that there is "evil". All one has to do is look around, it can be found almost everywhere. It could even be found in one's own mirror. For me personally, it is more logical to believe that whatever form our "Higher Power" takes, in the long run, it is all up to us individually to do what is right. The Heaven and Hell theory is an incentive approach to what a "truly" good person would do anyway. In other words, "good" will be good without the need for the reward of Heaven. "Evil" will always be evil without the fear of Hell or the desire to get into Heaven. If God made it that way, it seems to me, that He could have spent His time in a more constructive manner. Interesting question.

It is a mystery. His ways are mysterious but He does make informed decisions. It is hard for me as a believer to understand but like so many things you have to take it on Faith that His ways are best. I have spent time thinking about it and maybe it is the only way for people to really have the choice. or here's another theory maybe we need bad people so we know how we don't want to be.
I also know that many good things come out of bad situations. Like if I had no problems in life would I have turned to God for help and if I didn't would I be like before and basically selfish in my nature about everything and not even realizing it?
I also find comfort in the scripture that "All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord"

Genesis 6:6-7
6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. 7 So the LORD said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them."

for someone who knows exactly whats going to happen eons before it happens he seemed awfully disappointed. i cant imagine something that ISNT a suprise can disappoint very much.

god created love.we have the free will to act on good or bad,you chose from a loving heart you cant go wrong.but the answer to your question is simply let it be .and focuse on who you are, what you are,and where you are going. dont judge self or others simply focuse and be aware of the NOW.live in the present for the past is full of regrets and the future full of worry and fear.simply work toward the future and live in the present.

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" - 2 Peter 3:9.

-vs-

"God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned." - 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12

Free will has nothing to do with it. You're either deceived one way or the other.

Why would this god allow the devil to mess with a guy on a bet? Maybe because it's all fictional and irrational. We can't conclude anything logically if it's irrational.

Maybe because this god likes to kill infants, watch people suffer, never answer prayers, lie and be unable to drive out people in iron chariots:)

he knows every thing about you even before he created foyou,he created for you a brain to think and to take good choice and differentiate between goodness and badness, and gave you the freedom to do what you want,he did not force you to do the wrong and then he punished you, therefore he sent prophets one after one to lead us to the truth to sure that god is very very fair with us,thats why he created also heaven to be donnation for goog beleivers who acts well and hell for athiest and bad guys.

I believe that God knows our tendencies, habits, and the things we are likely to choose. I believe that He hopes for the best for us, and gave us our agency to choose good or evil, right and wrong. I believe that if we let Him, he will accompany us and help us along, and I believe that all of us have the potential to go to Heaven, and ultimately WE choose our own fate. The fact that God knows what we are LIKELY to choose doesn't mean that he is damning us to Hell or being cruel. He wants to help them change their choices, but only THEY can decide to let Him in.

Here's a thought: that's an excellent point. It's ridiculous like that that makes Christianity impossible for any rational person to believe.

Christians will tell you that god gave us free will to choose.

But then he's not all knowing is he? Down with God! Lucifer had his head screwed on the right way. Hail the Morning Star!
