And force everyone to worship and praise him, while we're at it...
then comes evolution...

Well, I just don't think that would work. See we live in what is called a pluralistic society. Now that means we have people of all races, colors, and creeds in this here nation. It is illegal for the government to make any law mandating a state religion. Also I'm pretty sure Hanukkah started before Christmas so maybe the
Jews actually have more of a right to December than Christians.
Not to mention Christmas was only moved to December because people were celebrating things like the Winter Solstice and it was a way for Christians to get people to convert by saying well we celebrate Jesus' birthday in December so you can celebrate with us and believe with us, and still have a celebration when your used to having it. So I think your idea is a bit unfounded and you should do some research about your Holidays. Thanks and have a nice day.

Either you are the most sarcastic "sumbitch" I ever read on Answers, or you are really serious about this. If it is the latter, you should go kill yourself. Persecution of religious freedoms is what people did in the Dark Ages, and that didn't really end in the greatest of results. If you are being sarcastic, then you have my approval. In all honesty, the separation of church and state has taken a turn for the worse in the 21st century. It used to be that your government was not able to tell you what religion to follow. Now, your government can't tell you what religion they follow. Now when the government mentions religion, lawsuits come a'flyin in. It's a mad world here, and religion isn't helping it much. I'd like to see the day when there is one (or no) religions.

Hee hee. I get where you're coming from. However, most folk don't realize the pagan origins of the "christmas" tree. If we removed ALL religious icons (including crosses and manger scenes) from the yuletide season, it might simplify things.
I think Chrismas should be moved to March when Jesus was supposedly born. That way too, people will have to make a clear choice between buying presents and paying their taxes. Makes for a more cheerful and merry tax time don't you think?

I believe the rabbi has every right to put a menorah in with christmas trees. It points to Jesus the Christ.
God bless

I'm afraid that would be more trouble than it's worth, my friend. For one thing, I would do everything I could to break the rules. I would intentionally learn about the customs of every holiday that takes place during December and follow as many as I could just because I could. I refuse to allow that kind of oppression to rule my life. I will always celebrate whatever holiday I choose bet it Yule or be it Christmas (I celebrate both).
You can take your ideals elsewhere. I will not have your judgement.

We Christians do not impose our will on other religious beliefs. Our doors are open to everyone and to our faith but we never force anyone to join. Everyone has a free will to choose. But some other people and religions, they are resentful of our cultural, traditional and religious celebrations and they want to take over and impose their will on us. If moral or religious ethics should be followed, it is none of their business to pry their noses on ours.
You intrusive guys can make your own holidays or religious celebrations anytime, anywhere. As Christians, we do not really care on what you do, as long as it is not detrimental to the general population.

Yes, let's (U.S.) just become a theocracy once and for all. Then we won't have to put up with all these weirdos!
Of course, we'll have to straighten out the 66 million non-christians or kick them out of the country, and then we'll have to rewrite the constitution and just adopt the new testament. It will be a perfect society!

Of course it's easy. Very easy. Just like the final solution for the jews in the holocaust was also easy. But that doesn't make it a correct decision. Life is never simple.
Easy solutions are also always a piece of crap.

Of course, the Borg, er I mean christian collective is the only "legitimate" religion, so why not throw out the first amendment.
How dare you assume that I and every one else is or should be one of those evil hateful Christians.
