because it's easy. You don't have to learn a new language, in most denominations there aren't dietary restrictions or dress restrictions. They don't argue that you're saved through good works or acts. All you have to do is profess that Jesus is your savior and you're saved. Even if it's on your death bed and you've spent a life time being cruel and wicked. You don't even really have to read the book, as people will tell you what to believe. i think so many people convert because of these reasons

The religion offers many answers for seekers, born to or moving to. Also it has been forced down the throats of others for 2000 years, give or take a few centuries. People seek and so they find. There is a pretty good PR system.
It's actually a very lovely and comforting faith on a personal level, leave out the geography and the politics.
