There are many reasons why your hair isn't growing noticeably. A change of diet, new medication, stress, many other reasons as well. First analyze this and see what you can do to make some changes. Second, there is a shampoo that is great at helping your skin/scalp to be the best environment for growing hair. This is called Nioxin. Also, you can get a generic version of this shampoo at Sally's Beauty Supply, where the general public can buy products. It's called Nutri_Ox. This product works quite well.
Good luck!

The only reason hair doesn't grow is because you are dead. So your hair IS growing. I'm guessing it is splitting from the bottom or if you have used chemicals it may be breaking off. It really all depends on the type of hair you have and what your are doing. If it is damaged due to irons and blow dryers use a cooler setting. Use a good shampoo that won't strip oils out of the hair and a good conditioner. Get it trimmed on a regular basis.

Actually I have the same problem. My hair has not grown since July-it can be caused by Thyroid disorders, immune disorders, or taking certain medications such as steroids.
In my case I had a thyroidectomy and the shock has stopped by hair growing temporarily.
However the hair can just stop growing during the winter months I believe. As long as its not falling out try oils such as Aveda do and massage into the scalp to stimulate the hair follicle.

Hair growth depends on the amount of sunlight available each day. Shorter days = hair grows slower. Longer days = hair grows faster. The only part of your hair that acutally grows is the follicle - in your scalp....that would be where any damage would be found.
Try trimming your hair on the New Moon (dark of the moon) it will help your hair to grow faster. Works for me.
Think about this, you see your hair everyday so it doesn't appear to grow, but someone who hasn't seen you in a month will notice growth

Do you use straighteners? If you do that is maybe why your hair is damaged. If you want longer hair you could try extensions. Good luck. xx

i would suggest triming the dead ends off and trying to use a better shampoo and conditioner. And lay off any stress on your hair like coloring, perming, blowdrying, straightening, ect. well at least as long as you can.
