Which is grammatically correct when you plurize "email" - do you add an "s" or is email one of those words that's either singular or plural. Trying to be professional at my job. Thanks!!!

E-mail can be either made into a plural noun (e-mails) or a collective noun (a singular noun that represents a group)

Examples:

(singular) Please reply to my e-mail after you read it.

(plural) John's e-mails were becoming increasingly annoying.

(collective) E-mail can be put in any of several folders: personal, business, follow-up, or trash.

Do note, however, that e-mail should have a hyphen after the e.

Hmmm... I usually add 's' for the plural of email, but since the plural of 'mail' is simply 'mail'...

Ooh, okay, so you can use either one of those, apparently... just make sure you include the hyphen and make it e-mail. ;)

First of all, wrong category Secondly, impress her by actually TALKING to her in person and doing kind things for her, don't chatter yourself through the internet, that's just lame.

i use both. although it may seem gramatically incorrect, the term emails is generally accepted. it all really depends on the context like:

"i received too many emails" versus " i received too much email"
