Yes I bought a 2005 Ford Focus from them, excellent price great car! I've never had any problems with it and it is being used as a Delivery car for the post office for my husband. The only regret I have is buying Ford because their customer service sucks where I live so I don't take it to the dealership for routine maintenance but to a certified mechanic.

I've seen some of their prices and they are far from a good deal. Their prices rival those of dealers and their "certified" used cars. But if you buy from them you don't need to pay extra for a mechanic as long as they come with the inspection report and a warranty. I believe Enterprise also sells trade-ins and not just rentals so I'd be careful about buying from them. I'd rather just buy privately and get it thoroughly checked by a mechanic like AAA. Much cheaper that way. Oh btw.... I had a Nissan that was a prior rental car and owned it over 3 years and 60k miles without a single problem. It wasn't a "certified" car and was bought without a warranty from a used car dealer. Sold it few months ago and the buyer hasn't had a problem with it either.

My friend bought an used car and it had been a rental. He got a real good deal and the car has been perfect to date (he bought a 03 Escort in 04).
He had all service records and all the maintenace work. I would buy a rental because most of them have been regularly serviced and cleaned. For the people who says they drive bad, come on, you can not break a XXI century car like some years ago.

That depends of course on the condition of the particular vehicle you are considering. In general though, these cars are often abused, or at least driven more harshly than one would treat their own vehicles.
In my previous position as a service manager I dealt with Enterprise quite often. I had a difficult time getting them to bring vehicles in for recalls, much less maintenance.
Another issue to be wary of is wrecks and or damages, it's possible it could have been involved in a wreck, repaired and then put back in inventory to rent out. Often times these "wrecks" may not show up on a carfax report either, so be careful in this area.
Questions To Ask
*Ask to see the maintenance history
*Ask to see the warranty history
*Ask if it's been involved in a wreck
*Ask if there are any open campaigns or recalls
*Ask and ask the a dealership/manufactuer what and how much warranty is left
Personally, I would consider purchasing, but I know what to look for and look out for. I would suggest if you don't then at least visit the links below, it will give some knowledge to get started with.

As I mentioned above, the quality of the vehicle is really dependent on that particular car or truck.

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.
Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net that has been around since 1995.

NONONONONONOO - Don't do it. I've rented cars for pretty much ALL of my adult life, and I BEAT THE HELL out of them. Nope, ignore the deal and buy somewhere else.

No - but I wouldn't either. I know that when *I* rent a car I drive it like I stole it!
