Rigid ones made of very light materials (low inertia).

Polypropylene cones. Some serious bass systems used by professional musicians actually have spun aluminum cones.

You want to move as much air by creating as much pressure, without distorting the shape of the cone.

Of course, a rigid cone has to be coupled flexibly to the structural frame. Go with urethane or silicone - and no foam materials; look for solid.
