We decided to take a break, does that mean he and I are both allowed to go on dates with other people? Does it also entitle that we can have boyfriends/girlfriends during our time apart or would that be a break-up instead of a date?

Im confused by the rules of a "break". Anyone gonna help me out?

I'm not sure there are any rules!! If were are on a break then you and I can see and do whatever we want!!! That's my opinion anyway.

I don't know if everyone would agree, but to me a break is defined like this; a time (usually no more than a week) where you evaluate the relationship and answer questions you might be asking yourself. Now, if you're thinking about dating other people haven't you already made up your mind as to where you're at with the relationship?

breaks are stupid and pointless. If you really want to be with someone you will. If you need to take a break it wasnt meant to be. A break is breaking up because you arent together, do whatever you want, but if you really want to be with this person i wouldent suggest going on dates or haveing b/f's and g/f's during this time

the rules are simple: they're made up as you go. for example, if he dates someone else and decides to get back with you, then he'll expect you to think it's fine. if, on the other hand YOU date someone new, he'll flip out. i don't get the rules, i just break 'em.

A break is something stupid. Either you're with someone or you're not. There are no such things as pauses in a relationship.
