i think that women and men have never been, and will never be equal, as long as we continue to have a double standard. until they are allowed and/or required to do all of the same stuff, there will be no such thing as equality.

I think if you're truly a woman asking this question, you're a disgrace to our entire gender.(that is, if by equal, you mean, "As good as"...if not, disreguard that ) Of course we can be equal, why wouldnt we be? No offense to men but technically we're a little better, if only because without us, the entire human race would die off. That makes us superior. We rock, end of story.
(btw Im kidding about being superior, dont everyone get all uppity on me now)
Just know that God created men and women equally. He made men able to do things women cant do, and he made women able to do things that men cant do. It balances out. Men have the muscles.....We have the brains.

To me the word "equal" implies "exactly the same as". I am not exactly the same as anybody. I prefer the term "of equivalent potential value". Some men will wind up being more important in the history of the world than others, but some women will wind up doing exactly the same and be more important than many men. It really is a matter of the individual, and not the sex of the individual.

Women can be equal to men if not looked at on a purely physical basis. Mentally, women can be truly equal. But that's not to say they will ever BE equal.

I think women are equal to men, but not in the same catorgories. I think men are better at physically protecting women and women are better at emotionally caring for men.
We both specilize in different area to take care of each other.
This doesn't make one better than the other... grow up!!!

I think they should be treated equally, yes...are they? no...
We're not the same as men, so treatment will sometimes have to be different, but it can still be equal..there's no reason for all people (of any sex) not to be treated fairly and on the same level...neither males nor females are overall superior to the other...but each has strengths the other does not have...that's why we go so well togther in couples...the sexes complement one another...

Each day Muslim men include in their prayer "Thank God, I Was Not Born A Woman". Equal or not you should be glad you are here and not there.

Of course not.
This is the stupid Politicallly Correct myth that is pushed on us so we can all feel good.
Guys know it and so do most grown up women. We are different and to be honest, even if we could be intellectual equals the male is on average stronger, and so the balance tips to him being superior.
Yes of course we can compliment each other with our abilities.
And no women aren't "emotionally superior" which is why they crack under stress easier than men in combat situations and the like.
Oh well.
