This girl has pointed me out to her friends before and now I am wanting to talk to her. She seems fine when she is with friends but alone she looks down after our eyes meet. Is she just shy and how do I get her to loosen up?

speaking from experience this girl feels confident when she is with her freinds but when aloone she is embaressed in case she says the wrong thing that would put you off. you need to speak to her when she is with her mates say how nice she looks or something like that, if she just smiles and you think your getting nowhere keep talking to her trust me she will be loving it then see how things go
