Well, whether you're a cunning linguist or not, there must be an attraction to you on her part. I know some funny, witty, clever guys who make me laugh but it doesn't mean I would go out with them. Sometimes, where there wasn't an initial attraction at all, there can develop an attraction upon getting to know a person. The only way to find out is to ask her. Good luck!

She will not go out with you just because you are a cunning linguist. A way with words plays a major part in attracting women, but you must also have a sense of style and probably some good looks as well. Also, be careful of entering the friend zone

Unfortunately, I think everyone missed the joke here. This is the joke section here. Cunning linguist? Its a play on words meaning oral sex!

Even though the joke was lame.

Like was said, office relationships are not a good idea. Just think what would happen if you guys break up. Besides most companies have rules against fraternization (dont know if that's used right)

Furthermore she may just be laughing at your jokes to be friendly, and avoid friction with coworkers. And if you are her superior you can bet she's fake laughing.

Remember, people act differently at work then they do in their "regular life". Its like they adopt two personas.

If you decide to pursue it though be as discreet as possible.

good luck to you

Does she laugh? Or just say ha ha and walk away? Maybe you should ask her if she will go out with you only she will know the answer. But you shouldn't date people from work its a really bad idea!

The only way to tell is to ask her out, tell her your're interested. But don't assume being funny always wins a girl over! Be a gentleman about everything!
