Shouldn't these people just take responsibility for their actions instead of blaming the police for their stupidity?

Because they are confused about the definition of entrapment for one. Entrapment is when a law enforcement official entices a person to committing a crime that they would not have committed but for the enticement. So for example, if a vice cop is posing as a prostitute and is approached by a perp who offers to pay for sex, it is not entrapment because the perp was actively looking for a prostitute and probably would have committed the crime even if the police officer had never been there. On the other hand, if a vice cop showed up in your hotel room uninvited, naked, and seduced someone to pay for sex, this may be entrapment because the officer took the initiative and actually encouraged someone to break a law that probably would not have broken the law but for the officer's actions.

Given the legal definition, I cannot see how an officer could "entrap" someone for speeding or drunk driving unless the officer was at the bar with the driver, fed him a bunch of drinks, and then encouraged him to get in his car and drive home.

Well,

I sure do agree with you!

Their insinuations of stupidity simply shows by a result of driving drunk. Rarely people will take responsibility of their deeds, unless it's a great deed. I almost died the other day crossing the road, cause' the driver was drunk. Talking on cell phones is another awful issue in todays' society. Along with jay-walkers who are too languished to walk another block to the signal.

And they get out of the car, blaming the other guy or the Police for their ignorance. And I'm sure the Police don't want to go to someones house saying their loved one just got killed, because a drunk driver didn't give a second thought.

I was in a head-on collusion a year ago, and the man who caused it kept blaming someone else. Felt like hurting him too, but the Paramedics were calming and commendable. Or was it just that they didn't allow me to move my head due to the neck collar, ha ha.

I live in BC, it's a shame a truck driver was drunk at the wheel and ended up falling off a bridge. Anyway, my Hero is a Paramedic. Someone I highly respect. Gladly, I listened to my local Police Department who taught me to stay safe and don't drive drunk.

Salute to you and stay safe please.

You have absolutely no idea what entrapment is so I will educate you Seems strange that I would have to educate you because a person with an IQ of 300 as you stated earlier should be educating us by telling us why you are claiming entrapment. Maybe you know something the Supreme Court doesn't 1.The idea for committing the crime came from the government agents and not from the person accused of the crime. 2.Government agents then persuaded or talked the person into committing the crime. Simply giving someone the opportunity to commit a crime is not the same as persuading them to commit that crime. 3.The person was not ready and willing to commit the crime before interaction with the government agents.

I Believe they think they can get away with it and then when caught not learning in their early years or didn't listen and learn the responsibility of their own action's, that there will be consequences for their wrongful actions so on the quilt trip they lie.

You answered your own question my dear. Plus...you can thank a society that is run by those low life, no morals or scruples legal prostitutes of the judicial world...attorneys. The men and women who would sell their own mother and sister to an Arab slave trader if it meant they profit from it.
There is the reason why people won't take responsibility.

Because people don't accept responsibility for their own actions. This is due to lousy parents and lousy attitudes toward personal accountability as a whole.

They are the same people who as kids got defended for everything they did by their parents who thought they could do no wrong. Now as adults they feel even if they are guilty it shouldn't be considered their fault. It's the cops fault for working traffic instead of catching murders. It's the prosecutors fault for sending drunk drivers to jail instead of rapists. It's the Judges fault for sending him to jail for a gram of cocaine instead of sending away the drug dealer. It's his attorney's fault for not giving him a proper defense. It's his parents fault for not paying his way out of trouble anymore.

Because they got caught and yes they should take responsibility for their less than intelligent actions.

In my country, both alcohol and cars are sold by the government.
So they sell me drinks and then they get me to go home by car and then they stop me.
come on, if thats not entrapment then what is?

~I've never heard anyone accusing police of entrapment for a DUII or speeding. They know they're guilty.
Just because one person does it, doesn't mean everyone does it. You shouldn't generalize.~
