Its hard to say because you didn't list what you can do.

If you can perform any of these then do it.

Work up to:
Jump Rope 4 or 5 rounds or about 10 to 15 minutes.
Jog 2 or 3 miles a day.
Sit Ups or crunches 5 minutes
Punch the heavy bag 4 or 5 rounds
Speed Bag is different than martial arts and is very important to boxing.
Shadow box 10 minutes.

Find a local gym that trains amatuers. Do not just start on your own. You will develop bad habits that a trainer. Run, jump rope, and work a speed bag to stay in shape. Boxing and martial arts are worlds apart. The footwork and all the fundamentals are different.

If you're allowed to run or jump, then what you could do is run (jog/sprint) and jump ropes.

For running, you could do interval training (sprint for 20 secs, rest for 10 secs, repeat this 8 times) and jog for 30 mins. For jumping ropes, try completing 4 2-minute jump rope rounds. Try doing this everyday.

Other than this, you can also shadow box. Just like with the jump ropes, try completing 4 2-minute shadow box rounds.

Other exercises to try out if allowed would be plyometric push ups, sit-ups and leg raises.

Remember, don't cheat yourself :)

I think you should wait out the 2-3 months and then just start doing amateur fights, but don't ever train or hire a trainer, it's a waste of money. Just give it all you got kid, you have the heart of a champion!
