that's horrible I'm sorry that you're going through this. I had a tough time at your age too and got emancipated. you actually don't need a lawyer, there is just a lot of paperwork to fill out and you have to write a detailed letter to the court explaining why you want to be emancipated and how you plan on supporting yourself. your mother will also have to come to court.good news though is that you can do it before you even turn 17 at least thats how it is in california, I think it's different in different states.

Depends, most countries laws is 18 to get your own place. But if you know someone or have a friend or family that you can crash with until you 18 I would say go for it. Because it sounds to me as if your mother is completly blinded by this guy & his two kids which seem like they freeloading on your mother. I rate move out the house A.S.A.P. & you will see eventually she will come begging around for your forgiveness & by that time you will prob be legal to stay on your own.
Tell your mom I said she a cow & has no freking emotion if she can kick her own flesh & blood to the curb. She can burn in hell for that.
Sorry to sound all mean & nasty no offence to be taken or grudges to be held in this answer please. Its my opinion

It sounds like your Mom wouldn't care if you moved out. If they are doing illegal drugs in the house - I'm sure you have an out. Sorry you're having to go through all of this. Just because your Mom has made bad choices does NOT mean you'll have to do the same. I wish you well.

If you have any outside family members such as dad, grandparents, aunts, uncles, you should talk to them. Maybe one of them can open their heart and home to you. You're awfully young to be on your own. Your mother sounds like she needs some help. If going to family member isn't an option then talk to a teacher or guidance counselor. They will find some help for you. I'm sorry your going through such a mess. But there is help out there.

I think you move now, you only have to be 16 to get and job and if you have a job you can always find a roommate that will let you pay rent...It all sound pretty simple to me, so I say, "Yea you can move".

You can move out, if you are moving into a friends house or something. If you wanna get an apartment, tho, they might not let you in.

You will have to get a lawyer to get emancipated. Look it up. It's different in different states. I think your mom is a POS. You are her blood and she's treating you like that. They both need help.
