Limewire is not music software, it is p2p software, used to illegally download copyrighted files.

Your school has blocked it, since they don't want to get sued for allowing criminal activities by their students.

One of three things is happening, then.

1. You don't have permission to install software on the machine. This is likely if the machine belongs to the school, and they have a semi-competent administrator on staff.
2. Your school allows you to install software, but is monitoring software on its machines and has specifically blocked P2P applications.
3. Your school's firewall has blocked inbound and outbound internet traffic on the ports used by Limewire.

Either way, you have no option but to ask your administrator for support.
