My boyfriend and I broke up a few months ago b/c his ex was starting a bunch of stuff with their kids(telling him that he had a new family and stuff). They've been seperated for over 3 years and are in the middle of divorce so she was making he and I an issue in the divorce papers. He says he still wants to be with me, doesn't want ot see anyone else, and doesn't want me to. He seems to think that once the divorce is final things will be different but I figure she'll still be crazy afterwards and start trouble. Then what? Should i wait around or just move on?

The key to this is "she'll still be crazy afterwards and start trouble", most definitely. It's kinduva mixed bag, of course you have strong feelings for the guy, but the baggage can be a bit much at times.

I'd say to give him a timeline (maybe by June 2007), and if he hasn't finalized it by then, then he's not serious enough about the relationship.

In general, if he really cares for you, he'll come back. But don't settle for the same ol', make sure you're both moving forward with this. I'd give him until the end of 2006 to make a decision either way.

i am in a similar situation.. my partner is seperated from his wife and found out about me. i love my partner and have no contact apart from a few text messages here and there b/c people are keeping tabs on him. I may have to wait for a year or more before even considering marriage.. I have been assured that marriage is on the cards. It is soo hard, but i love him and am willing to wait. It all depends on your gut feeling really.. The wife will use the kids to keep him around and its down to you if you can accept it because she will always be there. She just feels threatened thats all( Put urself in her shoes). If you know that your boyfriend loves you and its all true and honest then id wait...at least the divorce has started. ive got another 2 years before that even starts...

Go with your gut feeling!!!

In the long run it's better for you to move on now. As long as you are in his life the ex wife will be in his life as well if they have kids together. If you are willing to put up with her. If not, you can find another man out there who is single, and don't have that type of baggage. Just be patient and don't force anything, God has a man out there for you who has never been married, and is waiting to marry you.

Just step aside, give him space until the Divorce is final. When this is so if he still wants to be with you and you feel the same, then don't let the ex keep the two of you apart. She is just angry because she just realize the goldmine she failed to keep close to her heart.

The ex can't chose who he is with. The courts can't tell him who he can be with either. If you two are happy with each other then so be it. I think the ex just doesn't want him to be happy with anyone since they weren't happy together. The question is how are the kids when they are around you two?

If you really love him still I think you should wait, if he really loves you as much as he says he will make it work and make it clear to his ex that you are the new and more important woman to him
