i was going to break up with my boyfriend on friday but i couldnt bring my self to do it and this weekend i messed with another guy and i feel like the worst person in the world. i know i cant take back what i did but what do i do now

you can't take it back. don't be too hard on yourself. it happens to a lot of good people. just don't be a cheater. break up with him and communicate to him it's over.

Okay, you already know you screwed up and can’t take it back, but now you need to know what to do going forward. From a pragmatic point of view, you don’t want to bring the stigma of a poor reputation that will ensue if you tell your current boyfriend that you messed around, so DO NOT tell him. It wouldn’t change anything between the two of you in the long run anyway. Courage is overcoming your fear, and this is what you need to do now. Overcome your fear of the inevitable confrontation you are going to have with your soon to be ex-boyfriend. Tell him in as kind a way as possible that you do not love him, and never want to be with him again. But BE FIRM! Do it in a way that you can leave his presence no more than fifteen to thirty minutes after you have broken the news. Be prepared for your own self-doubt to creep into this decision at some point, but know that it is from normal emotional attachment for the person and not based on any objective perspective of a future between the two of you. It is not going to be easy, but the longer you wait the harder it will be…good luck.

Why feel guilty when your were going to dump him anyway? You "cheated" because in your heart you had already broken up with him but in your mind you had an obligation to tell him first. You certainly do have a conscience and that's a good thing. Write him a letter and let him know what happened if this will help you. Hope you have no regrets.

You have already made the choice. There is nothing wrong with what you've done (unless you're married!). Just move on and discuss your feelings with your boyfriend. Obviously there was something else going through your mind to consider the break up in the first place!

I would tell him the truth and break up with him. I'm sure other people know about it. He will find out eventually, even if you don't tell him. Not only did you hurt him, and betray his trust, but you also made him look like a fool.

now is your time to confess and be honest if you wanted to break up with him now is your big chance ...he deserves to know and he deserves better! I believe what goes around DEFINETYLEY comes back around twice as hard! So treat ppl with the same respect you expect! So if he cheated on you you would wanna know....it would hurt you...so let him know and let him go!
