is she stressed (before the hair loss?)
Reason I ask, extreme stress can make your hair fall out...my mom had that happen (when she was diagnosed with MS) and she actually had a few bald spots on her head. Once she knew MS wasnt going to kill her, she calmed down and her hair grew back.

If shes not stressed, she may need to go to the DR to have that checked out. Not saying anything is def wrong, but it couldnt hurt.

Women in her family; did they have that problem when they were her age? IF so, it may be just genetic...and theres not much you can do with that.
You can try Rogain (spelling?) for women--it makes the hair grow back.

1st option: calm down, no stress
2nd- DR
3rd- genetic and try Rogain

Good Luck with everything and I hope for the best!

Have her take some Strong Vitamins. Is your mom healthy? Some sicknesses can cause hair loss. I am 20 and went through a period of it. It was scary, being I have thin hair as it is. I soon found out I had a disease called Chrones. My body was lacking vitamins. Your mom needs to go on a vitamin that has Iron, vitamin E, Calcium, Ect, In it. I use Womans 1 a Day vitamins. you can find them at Walmart for $7. They last 4 months,, if taken once a day. Try this out, and make sure your mom has been seen by a doctor. Sometimes hair loss can be something telling us we have a sickness or disease.

I think she needs to go to a doctor. hair loss could just be a vitamin deficiency or could be something more serious. If it is neither at least the Dr could recommend something like rogane for woman. i don't know how that stuff works exactly but i know you can get it over the counter at walmart and Walgreen's

It could be diet. I lost alot of hair after my babies were born and when I stopped taking multi vitamins. When I started taking them again my hair stopped falling out. I have a layer of hair much shorter than the rest from the regrowth.
Good luck.

If her hair is falling out, check to see if she is taking any medications or new medications. Lots of medicine especially steriod (prednesone) will cause hair loss. It could also be a change in her diet or climate change can do it as well.
Good Luck I am sure it is just temperary.

Either she has been under alot of stress or she has a vitamin deficiency. Have her ask her Dr for some tips instead because if it is that bad, I seriously doubt anything that is said here will help her.

Your mom's hair loss could be the result of stress or genetics. She may want to consult a doctor that specializes in that field. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help.

Try taking Vitamin B Complex/Silica/Evening Primrose oil these will help. It sounds like it may be due to stress but she should talk to the doctor about it.

Have her see the doctor to see if she needs hormones. There are other things that can cause this too from medication or if she has recently had anesthesia. In any case have her check into this with her doctor and tell her not to let him just let it slide.
