There was a recall on some brand (I believe it was a Nestle brand) of grits in September. here is an article concerning that:

Should be back on the shelfs by now - check another store.
Good luck

You probably live on the west coast? The Albers brand has been recalled for about 3 months here in Washington State - apparently because of meal worms. Quaker Quick Grits are still being sold but I refuse to eat grits that are sold in individual single serving packets.

I've never heard of this! I have two canisters of grits in my cupboard right now. I could buy them in the midwest and CA. I love 'em. If they took them off the shelves I'd be severely disappointed. Safeway has them.

They probably took them off the shelf, due to low sales. Call your store and ask them, they will order them for you.A lot of people have never tried grits, they are missing out for sure....As far as harmful?????All they are is Hominy---ground corn.
