I assume you're saying the cops are crooked?

Assuming you're not correct in that (and there is no way to debate that here), I'm sure that the cops are much more interested in the dealers. Most of the time, the buyers are busted to eliminate the dealers, with bonus points if they've got warrants or probation and we can send them to jail.

That doesn't normally happen but if it does it is usually to get the bigger fish.. usually they will use the smaller dealers to catch the bigger dealers... They think it's better to catch the main distribution... but normally they don't just let them go, they use them as a Nark.. once they have accomplished their need, then usually they will let them slide on lesser charges

It could be part of a Police sting or dragnet to have the dealer lead them to his source so that when the time is right, they can bust the entire cartel in one huge raid. If they bust the dealer, they will have to waste their time interrogating him/her when it is better to surveil the dealer and find who his suppliers are.

who in the hell would waste their money buying $10 worth of coke, it takes at least $120 (buyin' an 8ball which is 3.5-4 grams) to get a good deal. i believe he should of been arrested for stupidity, not for buying coke.

They need this guy to keep selling so they can bust more buyers. And also to keep the kick back coming.
