We owe them a debt of gratitude for further undermining the shaky foundations of conservative Christian belief. The enemy within the church does far more damage than unbelievers ever could.

They were probably shunned by their communities and most likely seeking forgiveness for what they've done. You can be sorry for the sins you commit but it should only matter to God not others.

I would imagine they try to pretend they were cured. I think it's hilarious to find out that psycho homophobic pastors are actually gay. It makes a lot of sense.

I think they try both. Since most pastors are persuasive and liars, I'd say it depends on how convincing the sell is that they are redeemed.

They get forgiven by their members, they back away from their hold habits and start anew...they stay with the church and gain help.

Well, just like that guy Ted Haggard did, they try to hide for as long as possible. When caught, they'll say "I just bought that meth so I can get it off the streets. I was going to flush it. I didn't have sex with that male prostitute, we were just.......reading books together." LOLOL LIARS!!!!!!!!!!
