That is the problem with comparing the Eternal with the temporal. Nothing on this earth compares with God. The reason that we often try, is because we have to answer our critics with something, and you won't accept "Because."
So, in answer to your question, no - you cannot trap God in a balloon, nor make a God-tight room.

Actually the story of Elijah says quite specifically that "God was not in the wind."
But I think you understand that it's just a metaphor, something that is real that is not easily visible with the naked eye.
That's all, you can only push a metaphore so far. there's no reason to assume God has the same physical properties as wind - that's just common sense.

How do you know that the air is in there? you still cant see it even if its in the ballon. its those that believe that try and put God in a trap or a box. God is much bigger than this!
EDIT I: i can see God...he is all around us and i can feel God to. You sure do not know much about Him, do you?
Edit II: faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (verse 1). But the rest of the chapter repeatedly and forcefully clarifies that the "things hoped for" are not things of this world, and the "things not seen" are spiritual things more real than any physical thing we desire here. Thus, it is by faith that we understand that the world we see was made by (or, "through," or "from") God's words, so that God's invisible Word is the reality behind what we see. Compare verse 3 with Col. 1:16-17 and John 1:1-3. For the same reason, it is impossible to please God without faith — if we are so captivated by our own needs and by what we see around us that we can't see God as the reality behind it, we can't believe God (who tells us that He, not what we see, is real) or believe that He rewards us in a reality we can't yet see. Verse 6. And as verse 2 says, it is by faith, faith that God and His unseen reward are more real than what we see, that the ancients obtained approval.

True - to an extent. I had a rather interesting exchange of e-mails with another person on here along these lines. I revolved around whether a person born blind would believe in the sun.
Of course, he was intelligent, and we actually had quite a good little debate on the subject. Didn't agree, of course, but that is what good debate is all about.

Who suggested to you that idea? You are the one who is trapped into a wrong interpretation of God in being everywhere.
Think of a painting done by a Master. Every inch of artwork in his canvas presents his personality there. Every stroke of the brush is his idea and creative imaginations therefore it is He that you see in his painting.
In the same manner that I see my God in me, in nature, in everything that I see and feel. However, I do not believe that you will understand what I am saying since that I strongly believe you are the one who have a very limited ability to think.

The only reason that comparison is made, as if it is a comparison, is because you see the effects of the wind, not the actual wind itself. Just as you see the effects of God, not God in a physical sense.

Are you purposefully missing the point?
Is it that you don't know, or don't want to know?
I never read this 'wind' and 'air' thing BUT come on!
its just an illustration to show something can exist even though we never see it.
Illustrations aren't meant to be exact right down the line.

God is in the wind but you can't trap him because, well, he's God. He's in everything, including the wind, the balloon, the string, nutty buddies, cheeseburgers, bathtubs, your Aunt Sally, etc.

A real 'God disbeliever' won't ask such question. Thats why wind and air, sometimes soul and vitamins used as metafors. To make a beginner disbeliever understands a little bit.

Becuase The universe is fashioned after God
True. You cant see air, but you know it's there becuase of it's affect on things. So also you cant see God,but you know He's here when you see or notice the effects
God has three parts;Father,Son, and HolySpirit. So also elements have three states; solid, liquid, gas.
Need I go on?
