what are the advantages and disadvantages of being in one? and I feel like since i'm 18, I have to catch up to everyone else, hell most of my friends have been in relationship....man, i feel lonely

hmmm..i was almost 17 when i had my 1st bf. It really just came out of nowhere. I think waiting later to date saves you a lot of drama while in school. I know people who would be really upset and miss school or come to school feeling really bad because something happened with a bf or a gf. Plus, you're still growing and finding out about yourself and what you want in life. I mean it's both a good and a bad thing to have a bf and a gf. I think it just happens when we think we are ready for it. You can't really go out and just find a guy or a girl all the time. yeah but that lonely part you talked about is the downside to not having one. I guess the best thing to do is hang out with some single friends and have fun so you'll forget about that part.

I've never been in a relationship either. I'm the same age. I have many qualities that a guy may be interested in, but I don't want to be something temporary to them. Some of the guys I like and whom like me back are looking for the easy girl. Take your time to find the right girl. Don't rush it. But would it be so bad if we had boytoys and men had girltoys. It wouldn't have to be a sexual thing. But it would fulfill that emptiness that's inside of us. It is from these temporary relationships that we learn more about what our ideal relationship person will be. Do what comes naturally. Don't feel that you need to catch up. That creates anxiety which is unneccesary.

yeah i wasnt 18 until I got my first boyfriend...its not a big deal...it will happen when you dont expect it, believe me
