No doubt there are hundreds of Thousands of temples in India in which particular state
i can find lots of Temples and go for Temples ?
Which particular state is best for nature and Beauty ?
Never without an entertainment , which Indian state is the best for entertainment ?

Believing you are travelling to India first time and you have a western mind i will suggest these ...
For temples....Though south India perticularly Tamilnadu have many temples which also reflect the Temple architecture of those times for spirituality you should travel to rishikesh, haridwar, varanasi route. If you have time you can go for Somnath , mount Abu and pushkar in the western states of Gujarat and Rajasthan....
Nature and Beauty...Hands down it is Kashmir in the northern most part of India and Goa, Kerala in the sothern part of India...
Entertainment...It is Goa and Mumbai.
It all depend on how much time you have.

If you are looking for spirituality, then, The Himalayas and Rishikesh would be the right places. Beauty and nature- The deserts of Rajasthan, The Taj Mahal in Agra, The state of Kerala. For entertainment, Bangaloe and Bombay. For the temples, there are a few smaller towns in Tamil Nadu, called, Madurai and Trichy.Also, some towns in Northern India like, Kasi and Varanasi. Don't go anywhere near Kashmir. Try flying inbetween places as much as possible and rent good air conditioned cabs. Public transport and the the roads etc can be dirty. Hope this helps.

South India is best known for Temples esp Tamil Nadu where Kanchipuram known to be the land of the thousand Temples along with Andhra for the famous Tirupathi
As for entertainment, try Goa
Nature i will go for Kerala and and the Earths heaven Kashmir
