Cholesterol comes from two sources: your food, and your liver.
Even more important than cooking "low cholesterol recipes" you need to add oatmeal or a soluble fiber supplement (psyllium husks) to your diet. Water-soluble fiber is the only substance that binds to cholesterol molecules and moves them out of your system. Insoluble fiber (salads, bran, etc.) does NOT work. Oatmeal is your best friend.
In addition to blocking cholesterol from the food source, if you take Niacin supplements (Vitamin B-12) the Niacin will interfere with the production of cholesterol in the liver.
Using these techniques I dropped my cholesterol 25% in ONE MONTH and it has been low ever since.
Best of luck to you.
