There are some misconceptions about bleaching. Bleaching is called highlighting. This process DOES lift the color pigment from your hair.
Damage can happen to your hair with highlighting if your hair is dry or damaged before the process, or if it is OVER processed.
If you have a professional stylist highlight your hair they can evaluate the condition, and color level of your hair and they will know how long to process your hair. They will check it during the processing time.
After highlighting, if you condition your hair after shampooing, your hair will be just fine. Keep your hair trimmed regularly. This will keep your ends healthy.

Yeah it would look great. Just condition your hair a few weeks before and religiously afterwards and you shouldn't have a problem.

save the bleach for summer. go with warm, rich tones for winter. you could easily sport a really beautiful chocolate brown and it would look much better.
