You ask the person. You can either be direct and ask them out right if they think it is or not. You could tell them how you feel that you want to be exclusive or that you want to make sure they know you are not. Or you could try and be coy about it and ask them subtly and act like you don't care. (If he says he was out late the night before say something like "Oh yea had a big date?" and see how he responds) The bad thing about the last way is that you are giving them all the power and it makes it harder for you to get a say in where the relationship is going. Don't listen to people who say oh guys don't like to be asked questions like that. Womanizers don't like to be asked, but who wants to date them anyway. Plus you are in the relationship too and you have a right to make sure it is going where you want it to go!

Sweetheart, just go with the flow, guys hate when you are going along good and then you ruin the moment by asking such a stupid question. Just let your gut feelings if it is exclusive, if not, well find someone who is worth your time. Cupcakes, there is so many guys nuts dying to go with you, why waste time.

This never comes to a question for me cuz I clearly mention that I can't sleep with guys who are not exclusive with me.
All you need to do is ask.
"So, are we exclusive, or just in a casual relationship?"
I don't think lots of guys lie straight into your eyes in these questions.

When your with his butt 24/7 and know what he's doing at all times, then yes it would be exclusive. Talk to him and see what he has to say.

Well, I guess it really depends how you feel about the guy, if you like him and you really think that you both can go some of the distance and I am not refering to marriage. Then, it depends on whether you are ready to make a committment or not...If your answer to both of these questions is "I am", then I guess its a no brainer...go for it...

If it is just assumed you will spend weekends together, or if you're always together, then you can consider it exclusive.
