This is a Nigerian scam. They in all probability want you to cash the check and send a large percentage to them to cover taxes or a similar line. Common sense is the rule here. Lotteries do not just pick someone out of thin air to win. My guess would be you signed up for an on line survey company or one of the "Get Paid to Take Surveys" on line come on. These companies sell your information to other survey companies who in turn sell to others. I'm a retired Police Officer that has investigated Internet fraud for years and this is one of them. If you did not buy a Lottery Ticket you didn't win.

It seems odd that you have just now won a 2005 sweepstakes on the brink of 2007......Sounds fishy to me

Whatever you do DO NOT SEND ANYONE ANY MONEY, period.
This one pays members regular money for Reviews and I get to enter Sweepstakes every month just for being a member

youll find out about 3 weeks after you deposit the check. if in the mean time you send anyone money youre a sucker.
