Go with the ultrasound. It's looking at fetal development more than the calendar.

A very early ultrasound is accurate to within 1 week, and due dates are (generally) accurate to within 2 weeks. If they disagree by more than 2 weeks, one always switches to the ultrasound date. So, yes, I 'd say you just missed your period the previoius month. You would be 7 weeks along.

You probably missed a period before you got pregnant. The u/s are pretty accurate. The doctor can also do a blood test to measure your hcg levels to get an idea of how far along you are. However, the u/s are very good at making accurate measurements. I would go with those results.

Ultrasound is ALWAYS more accurate. You are probably just irregular as far as ovulation. My LMP for this pregnancy put me at nearly 9 weeks....the ultrasound dated me at only 4.5 weeks. I am now 18 weeks (according to ultrasound) and everything is following that date (showing, size of uterus, blood test HCG level). It happens ALL the time! Go with the ultrasound date and enjoy the pregnancy!!

Dating by your lmp is the best way to go...with an u/s its a little harder to date. With the lmp its give or take 2 weeks. You will find that with every u/s the due date will change.

The ultrasound is most accurate. It actually measures the gestational age of the baby.

It sounds as though you have skipped a period since your LMP and ovuated anyway, and thats when this child was concieved.
