Need your advice?

my friend has 2 kids. she is dating another guy. She knows I am inlove with her. I basically asked for a break in our friendship, its hard for me to see her with the other guy. I tried to stay nuetral, but its hard. I asked for a break this past wkend. She says Ok, but I realized I have gifts for her 2 kids, I bought it before our I break up the "friendship" with her. I bought it for them, at least the kids can have an extra gift to open. What should I do? I need time to get over those feelings for her and not look like a jerk. Its a mess!

She knows how I feel! I know someday I will get over it, but for now I cant sit and act like I am totally happy with it!

I can completely understand how you feel. I've been where you are and sometimes I still feel like I haven't moved on. You need to give your heart time to heal. It hurts a lot in the beginning and gets easier. One day you may wake up and those feeling for her may no longer be there. It was a smart thing for you to take a break from the friendship if you knew you feelings for her we not going to be reciprocated. Taking a break doesn't mean you have to completely give up the friendship. You just need time and space.

As far as the gifts for the kids, I say you should give the gifts to them. The kids are innocent bystanders here. You bought them out of love so go ahead and give them out love.

And don't worry so much about looking like a jerk, if she knows that you are in love with her then she needs to also know that you need time to heal.

That's sweet you got the kids gifts. Just give the children the gifts, and say you bought these for them, but you still need a break to think. Thats' all.

go visit her and give the gifts to her children. just tell her that u bought them before ur friendship holiday.
