it means that you love someone but you dont want to be with them anymore.... prettty much! Usually it means that a couple has been together so long that they DO love eachother, just maybe one of them isnt getting the same click and great feeling that they used to when they were around their partner...

Sweetheart, he likes her company but there is something wrong with her that keeps him from making the full commiment. Also, he maybe just playing the fields and keeping his eyes open for something better but for now, you friends is the best you he can do.

that means he is a schmuck, and you should stay away. If your friend is a really good friend, you should tell her. If he does it to her, he will do it to you!!! The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence kinda guy. Not good!!!! Stay the heck away, and find a good man who knows what she wants!!!

it means he cares for her but that is all there is. which means he cares for his friends, his pets, his possessions... get the point? big differance between being in love and caring enough for someone to love them which just means "cares for them".

it's bull, it's just a way to tell her that he wants to break up without causing pain.

I've heard it a million time... She should tell him to f*** off
