Well lets see you should not be upset that u don't have any girl friends. But I thank if you follow what I say you may. First you shouldn't be shy go talk to a girl in one of ure classes the best one is the one you sit right next to. tthen say hi how are u doing to her then just start a random conversation like mostly about her listen then give her the answer. talk to her everyday if possible and dont stare at her or she will think u are weird.

study and girlfriends are separate, the thing is you should learn to bifurcate them, do some meditation and focus on study and and free hours go to parks, girls hostel,and temples?? it helps surely..

better you join any evening classes...it may melp you...
if you think waste of money then better get up early in the morning @ 5.00 am. read till you understand it properly...
