Hi, I'm 18 years old. My boyfriend of one and a half months never calls me, hardly talks to me when I'm online and only comes to see me on weekends, sometimes even every other weekend. It's not like it's hard to get here. We both attend colleges in Boston and he's about a 15 minute walk away. But when he does come to see me, he's all over me and tells me that he loves me and that he's never felt so strongly for someone before. Sometimes I really feel like he's just using me. I almost feel like the only way we can connect now is physically. In January, I'm transferring back to a college in my home state and I'll be living 4 and a half hours away from him, so I have no idea what to do. I'm thinking about breaking up with him, but before we started dating, we were really good friends, so I'm going to feel super bad. Opinons?

I'm not worried about my health, I've made it clear to him that I don't do sex before marriage. I just thought I'd add that since a couple of you assumed that it went that far.

You don't have a relationship. You have a guy who comes around for some loving when he feels like it. Since it isn't often, you can be pretty sure he's going elsewhere for sex too. The move itself will end things, but it isn't the end of the world. It will hurt for a while, but you're very young and there are a lot of great guys out there.

Sorry, but you are being used. It will likely end when you move. Its a good thing that you are leaving this unhealthy situation behind you. Mourn the loss, then move on. You might consider not being sexually active with another, until you are married. There's a lot less heartbreak that way.

Sounds like you guys are done. If he cant make the 15 min walk, the long distance thing isnt going to work. Long distance is tough for close and loving relationships and yours isnt that.

Sound like you are not being love by him. Probably there is only physical attraction.
