Don't get yourself totally psyched on an engagement ring. It could be anything...earrings, a pendant, or just a pretty ring. Also...it could be for someone else. There would be nothing worse than to be completely disappointed and deflated on Christmas when you don't get the "ring" you are so sure about.
If he is trying to surprise you...let him do it. My fiance bought my engagement ring before Christmas...but didn't propose until Dec 30th. He wanted it to be a special night...one just to ourselves that we could savor and remember for all time. I didn't know he bought the ring...but I was suspicious when we went to our favorite, romantic restaurant. He had roses waiting for me at the table...but didn't ask until the dessert course. It was an amazing night--let him give you one just as special.

Maybe he expected you to pull the ring box out & say something. He might be waiting for another opportunity.
You can either wait or if your relationship is to the point of marriage, then you ought to be able to ask him about the ring.

it is still early to deside. Wait until that moment come. Do not have high hope? Or if you do not like to wait than just ask him you know about the ring. Hornest among each others is the best to make sure the relationship can get together longer.

I hope it's for you and that he's not just holding on to it for a buddy! Good luck and I wish you the best. If I were you, I would have taken a peek inside the box on the sly!!!

I think you need to not think about it, what if he got it for his mom, maybe he picked it up for his dad or something like that....I'd try and not think about it until he actually asks you, if that's possible. Maybe it was his senior ring...

If it is, it is...if not, then that should be okay too. If it is, then he is just waiting for the right time to ask you!! No need to over-analyze things...he will ask you when he is ready. Just enjoy his company until then!

Save yourself a LOT of grief and totally forget about it. Don't say anything, don't think about it..... erase it.
