Your iq does not change as you get older, if you take it at lets say 19/20 it will remain the same. Its how your brain thinks/works. The average is around 100, for women. Mens are normally a bit higher, dont know why!! I aint met one man yet that has got anything on me!!

The average IQ score is 100. The basic scale goes like this: 85-115: Average 120: Intelligent 130: Very gifted (Mensa level) 140: Extremely gifted 155+: Genius And to everyone who's saying that they have an IQ of 135, or 130, or other rather high numbers, online IQ tests are NOT accurate; they just boost your IQ so you'll buy their "evaluation."

IQ tests will give a bell curve with a score of 100 in the middle.
50% of people will fall between 90 and 110.
80% of people will fall between 80 and 120.
anything between 80 and 120 would be considered to be within the average.

online IQ tests are not controlled tests and usually give 10-20 points above actual score.

IQ is a measure of how your intelligence compares to the average for your age. If you're American, average IQ (by definition) is 100. If you're British it's a bit nearer to 110. But don't get too smug, in China it's 115.

100. It is always 100 for the average IQ of any age. The scoring is modified to reflect what the average person of that age would know.

The average IQ in Britain is 102

America doesn't make it onto the chart, but I do recall that the UK is slightly higher that global IQ average and America is several points lower than the average.

Here's the chart:

The average IQ (as long as the test is culturally appropriate) is 100.

It's 100.

Someone mentioned the test at www.tickle.com - its not bad, if a little flawed, as it showed 99% for each segment for me, even though I didn't get a question wrong.

Do I get to gloat as I scored 168? :)

PS and for the person below who said 'America doesn't make it onto the chart', that would be because America is not in Europe. You may have noticed its a European chart.
