I think you mean a DNC...also, doctors don't wait that long to see if you'll expel the fetus naturally. It's usually a pretty quick process.

Your body will expel the fetus when it is ready. It is better to do naturally.
A friend of mine had a D & C done for a different reason and got pregnant a few weeks after. She bled very early in her pregnancy and was put in high risk category because the docs were worried that the baby could not implant properly and there would not be enough nutrients for baby to survive. It was very touch and go but he managed to hang in there but she was put on serious bedrest.
You can try for another baby as soon as the bleeding stops and you feel comfortable.
Do some research on D & C (they are dilating your cervix unnaturally and then scraping your uterus) before making a final decision.
Sorry for your loss but good luck on conceiving again!

If you want to conceive again quickly then a D&C very often acheives this. It clears out the womb properly, but you should take your doctors advice on this. They say wait for 2 periods before trying again to make sure your body is back to normal. Good luck and don't worry - I had a miscarriage then went on to have 4 healthy children. These things happen

Take it easy after the procedure. Rest, recover. I think the recommendation is to wait for a couple of months before trying again, just to let your hormones return to normal levels. A friend of mine started trying right away after her miscarriage and got pregnant within a month, carried it to term, beautiful baby girl...I don't think there's a strict rule about these things, but you'll have to let your body recover from the hormones, let your mind recover from the loss...keep the pressure off: you'll get there, and you'll do fine.
Good luck--

I would get the d&c instead of waiting for it to pass naturally. After a miscarriage they say to wait one full menstrual cycle.

i'd ask your Dr. to do the DNC, it's bad enough knowing its dead inside of you without seeing it come out. I had a dnc with my miscarriage back march 1st, i'm now 37weeks and two days preggers. good luck.
