It's a question more of believing the Bible, rather than believing IN the Bible.
Yes, I believe the Bible and more to the point, I believe Jesus.

I've got three different versions here in my room. They are physical objects, and as such, are as real as any other book I have. I believe that if I put them on top of papers, the papers are unlikely to blow away in the wind.

The stories are a different matter. I believe the first part of Genesis to be a creation myth; not literal. I believe much of the history in the Bible to be fairly accurate. I believe that it's all too easy to interpret prophesey after-the-fact to have it fit your beliefs. I believe it easy to interpret cryptic text as prophesey when it may have had some other purpose originally. I believe Jesus to have been a historical person.

I think that the Canon of the current Bible was chosen to propogate a specific faith. It is a fact that the Council of Nicea was held to quench all other faiths that were based on the historical Jesus but were divergent from the chosen form. With them went the texts that were used to promote their viewpoints. re-emerging, they tell a different story of Jesus.

I don't think that anyone has physical evidence to "prove" that the Bible is the unfailing, unerring word of God, but rather, it all comes down to faith. Some have it, some do not.

I put my faith elsewhere, but don't begrudge those who place it in the Bible as long as they don't begrudge me my own faith.

My belief/faith/trust is in God. But I also believe that God had the Bible written so that I could know Him and His love for me.

Absolutely. A great deal of the knowledge I possess comes from that book. Not to mention, it contains great secrets and things have been revealed to me which I could never have understood save it were by reading Biblical scriptures first. It could NOT be a book written by man alone. :)

Jesus words,

John 17:3,
means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.

John 17:17,
Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth.

And just like a foot note, John 5:30
I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative; just as I hear, I judge; and the judgment that I render is righteous, because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.
