In Genesis 4:16 it says, "Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden. 17And Cain had relations with his wife and she conceived, and gave birth to Enoch; and he built a city, and called the name of the city Enoch, after the name of his son."
Genesis tells us that Adam and Eve had two sons: Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel, was exiled by God, and then in Genesis 4:17 we read that Cain had relations with his wife. Where did Cain get his wife? The answer is simple: Cain married either his sister or a niece.
In Genesis 5:4 we see that Adam had other sons and daughters.

"This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them Man in the day when they were created. 3When Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he became the father of a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth. 4Then the days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years, and he had other sons and daughters. 5So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died," (Gen. 5:1-5).

Since Adam lived several hundred years, having lots of children was not a problem. The Genesis account does not tell us about the order of the births nor does it tell us how old they were. By having many children it is certainly possible that there were many women around. This would mean that Cain married either a sister or a niece or some other relation. Of course at this point, the question of inbreeding is raised. But it is not a problem early on in the human race because the genetic line was so pure. Therefore, the prohibition against incest was not proclaimed until much much later (Lev. 18:6-18).

Remember Adam live over 900 years and the human body back then was made to heal itself. My grandmother and Grandfather had 16 children and over 200 Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and my Grandmother seen her Great Great Grandchildren amazing right. Now the question About Adam and Eve sons within time their wives came from their Brother and Sister within 50 years this could and have happen. The world wasn't as polluted as it is now with all kind of Diseases and Chemical.
Mankind had Perfect Bodies and live almost Perfect.
Remember Abraham the father of the Jewish people Sarah was his half sister. And Moses and his parent

Now our bodies get sick and old and die much quicker.

They were other children born to Adam and Eve:

Gen 5:3-5
4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5 Altogether, Adam lived 930 years, and then he died.
(from New International Version)

Evidently, people could have children most of their years even when they were about 900 years. That's a LOT of children.

And just as the early people of the world had pure enought blood and health to live hundreds of years, so there was not the health danger of marrying of brothers and sisters.

What if God created man-kind and Adam was just the one man the story followed?? It's very possible.

Genesis 1: 26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

Who is them??? Adam and Eve aren't mentioned til ch 2. They are formed individually and Eve is taken out of Adam. They were created separately from one another. "Them" looks like it refers to mankind.

Cain moved to another land and found a wife. Abel was murdered and didn't marry. I think that makes it clear that God had created other peoples.

Genesis 4:16 So Cain went out from the LORD's presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Would a land have a name if it was uninhabited??

Ah... isn't this an age old question. The easiest answer, Adam and eve are the Jewish traditional story of how man and time began. But every culture has one and the fact is that science has already proven that homo-sapians have dwelled on this plant for more then 200,000 years. We as humans would have evolved enough to begin nomadic tribes 50,000 years ago. Begun agriculture 8,000 yrs ago and civilization 5,000 years ago. You don't think that China, Egypt, and Mesopotamia sprung up over night do you?

Ok it's a biblical secret, but God had more magic playdoh, and created other people besides just adam and eve. Dare I mention that just possibly, Adam and Eve are metaphors for human existance.

The assumption is that Adam and Eve procreated and gave birth to many children before they fell into sin and the story of Cain and Abel is simply the story of the first children born after they fell into sin. Meaning that they procreated with some of their many female siblings. Although the other children are not mentioned in detail, that is the assumed explanation that my Pastor gives and I find that to be the best explanation.

As it is said that we all come from Adam & Eve it stands to reason that Adam & Eve's children paired with their siblings....that Adam & Eve had daughters and sons who paired up...then their children paired up...and so on and so forth.

It's pretty obvious. Adam and Even had more children then Cain and Abel. There were also daughters. It would have been necessary for the sons and daughters to procreate.

Cain killed his brother, then took onto himself a wife out of the land of Nod. The writers of the bible worked too fast. They never thought that anyone would ever realize that if people lived in this Nod place, the whole story is up in smoke.
