my man ate my bogies!! I told him if he loved me he would and to my horror HE DID !! Dunno what they are or where they come from though. !

the true answer is that although they don't realise it (your body always tries to get you what it needs, which is why pregnant women go mad for different foods). the dirt from your nose has germs it which, when you eat it, it makes your body protect itself against germs by creating anti-bodies and keeping you healthy. They are produced in the blood and kill any bad germs they find. Abogie is the bit of dirt yoe get outon the end of your finger nail. The fluid is snot which is made by the body to stop the membranes in the nose from getting too dry, thentoo much dust would go down into your lungs and make you cough and maybe ill.

Bogies are solidified mucous (snot) from the mucous membranes in the nasal passages that keep them moist and to eat it is just disgusting!

Boogers are composed of dust and materials in the air that your nares filters out so you don't inhale it into your lungs. Also partly made up of mucous.
