First- Your friend is jealous and shouldnt have done what he did, that is not A TRUE friend, So no way should you pick his side and feel guilty for dating this chick, its none of his business and he needs to back off. The girl is over this friend.

Second- You need to tell the girl that even though people may talk, if you are worth it to her, then you two would block out everyone's voice.

You do have a past of cheating, so I would be careful, she may not trust you as much, you have to prove everything you can to show her that you are a changed man, and I mean prove it to her.

It will take time, but if you love her, its worth the hassle

I'd choose your best friend, because I think your girlfriend is being very unfair making you choose at all, and is trying to be too controlling. Of course, the ideal solution would be not to choose, but if you don't choose, your girlfriend sounds like she might choose for you -- and you'd probably be better off without her anyway.

a friend isn't really a friend if he is going to do that to you. Ditch the friend and try and make something of the thing with the new girlfriend. A relationship can offer a lot more than just a friendship!

That guy's not your friend. If you feel "love at first sight" for real, you won't hesitate to be more loyal to her than to him. That's okay. At least your so-called friend has shown his true colors and you can rid yourself of him. Just beware that she might not be worth it - if she doesn't feel the same about you, the whole thing might be pretty tragic. I think you should tell the girl everything you're saying here.

Well it's pretty obvious that you're so-called-friend is not your friend and that he's a very jealous person. I would not stay friends with such a fellow.

I would tell your new girlfriend that you're friend has temporarily gone insane and that you are no longer friends because of the bad things that he has said and move on with this new woman.

If your friend apologizes, that would be nice but I wouldn't welcome him back with open arms so quickly.

Good luck with everything!

Don't really get what ur trying to say...but what i understand is ur friend is trying to ruin ur relationship. Then u shld talk to ur GF first...tell her abt ur past n everything...including ur feelings towards her and that she changes u to become a better person. When u tell her the truth including what ur friend is trying to do to u and if she loves u...she will trust u....talk to ur friend too, dun have to use nasty tricks....another way is get the Girl to choose between u and ur friend...case close.

well.... if he would go as low as to do that, then he is not your real friend for one! He is a selfish little B****! You need to quit playing around, whip his a** and then sit her down and explain exactly what is going on, and why he is acting like that. explain to her that you didnt want to get serious before you met her, but now you really want to settle down and be with her, ONLY HER! but you need to find new friends.... he is a *****!

i am a bit confused with ur story. but the best thing to do is to confront your friend and talk about the issue at hand. you can still be friends. if you really love the girl then ask her to choose between you and your friend then respect her decision.

Well if you truly love her, your friend would back off so i geuss he's not a true friend, but if you don't truly love her just her body ect, well you can't truly love her yet give it 2 more weeks and if you don't truly love her give your friend a chance to be with her but if you do truly love her your friend needs to back off. Talk to him that you truly love her or care about her and tell her what he's trying to do.
