Where in YOUR BIBLE does he authorize them? Did he make all those conflicting, confusing dogmas, or did the "leaders"? Who among you is dedicated to unifying "ONE" church?
i'm confused!

Stephanie,
You say,
But as long as we believe "in Christ (son of God) and Him crucified"
This seems to be the attitude that adds to all the confusion you all have. I thought you Book was the standard?
If you are interpreting differently, there's not much value in it now is there?

Why can't you all get it together and be "One"?So others can see you? Like your CHrist prayed for in John 17. Was not his prayers answered?

raynpetal,
Your answer still seems to manisfest the problem!
Tell everyone to:
"Begin to pray to Jesus. He will guide you to a place that He would have for you.
Ask Him where He would have you."
and see all the differnet conflicting directions people will scatter into.
I don't know, I think most of you are going about it ALL WRONG.

So why do you all HAVE denominations if he HATES them!?
How does one find the "original" today? Where are they? Where do they worship? How do you find them?

Pamela,
You're no doubt right; the denominations are created by men.
You seem saddened by them, yet you approve of them. You're a part of them (one of them).
You say, "Any Christian among us would have to be dedicated to unifying "one" church ". Are you? Is the group YOU are with?
If it's one group in the heaven, wouldn't there be "one" RECOGNIZABLE group here on earth? RECOGNIZABLE.

The many denominations should not exist. Notice what 1 Corinthians 1:10 says;
"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."
Why do we have so many? Men are not satisfied to all speak the same thing. Men are not satisfied to teach only the word of God. Men are not satisfied to only speak where the Bible speaks, and be silent where the Bible is silent. Men are not content to do Bible things in Bible ways and call Bible things by Bible names. Too many wish to add their own desires and teach their own doctrine.
Notice 2 Timothy 4:2-4.
"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
We should return to the Bible as our only guide book. We should have a "thus saith the Lord" for everything we teach and do as a church.
The Bible teaches that the church is the body of Christ (Eph. 1:22-23) and that there is only "one body" (Eph 4:4).
When the church first began, there were no denominations. In Acts 2, we see that about 3000 all heard the same message, all understood it the same way, all believed it the same way and all obeyed it the same way. The result was they became Christians - nothing more, nothing less, nothing else. At this point, God added them to His church (Acts 2:47). There is no authorization for Christians to "join the church of your choice", but they were added to Christ's church! After they became Christians they continued in one accord in fellowship and together in the apostles doctrine. (Acts 2:42-47)
Today, if we read and understand what they understood, believe what they believed, and do only what they did, without adding any man-made doctrine, we will become only what they became - Christians!
This is the goal and plea of those who meet together under the name "church of Christ" today. We only want to be the church you can read about in the Bible. Christ is the head of the church, therefore we have no "headquarters" on Earth that oversees the local congregation, but each congregation goes directly to the Bible to see what should be taught and practiced.
We only want to follow God's word in our name (Rom. 16:16), worship, organization, and teaching. The word of God is sufficient for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction. Using it in this way, we can be completely furnished with everything we need, and there is no need to add any man-made doctrine. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
Those who teach as doctrine the commandments of men have worship that is vain. (Matt 15:9)

Yes you re confused & God is not The author of confussion, satan is, You ask where did our denomination come from, Friend there is no true real denomination in the bible, The Teachings of the Apostles Of Old was the ones that lay down the fountation for us to believe on. Acts 2:38-46 shows you when the TRUE CHURCH WAS BORN, & the only thing I see is they continued in he Apostles Doctrine Daily & that is still going on today, now these other thousands of Ideals come from omeone not wanting to accept the Apostles teachings anymore, So then you get a off branch & then another off branch, Remember I said OFF BRANCH, But not the Original.

Do no longer be concerned bout denominations, they're simply unique worship patterns. Catholics are Christians however like in any church routinely persons comply with faith as an alternative than have a individual dating with Jesus. I belong to a non denominational church in which they educate literal reality of the Bible and led persons to a existence exchanging reference to Jesus Christ. We all fall brief from the dignity of God but if we positioned the entire armour of God round us, then no evil can penetrate

They are man made. Listen friend, many of us are still searching for something to contribute to and be a part of.
My suggestion:
Begin to pray to Jesus. He will guide you to a place that He would have for you. The Bible says "I am the truth, the life and the way." Believe that He would want you to learn more about this life and beyond, but you must continue to seek and more importantly love one another like you love your best friend or husband or wife.
*Ask Him where He would have you. He will show you, just make sure your eyes are open and more importantly, your ears are open. Then once you receive your answer (because you WILL), follow through. Don't think too much on it, just act.
Love Raynpetal.

Holy spirit.
In the new testament it is written we are all a part of the Body of Christ.
Paul wrote to one church who was glorifying some of the leaders more than Christ not to. He basically said I am glad I did not baptize you because you would be believing in me. Something in that context.
There are many denominations out there you are right but there is only One God.

Though this is a good question, I don't have time to answer this question in depth.
But I do want to add my confirmation to Penny Mae's "response".
Too answer each of your questions in sucession suffice it to say that:
Denominations are from men. There is no authority for them in "the church". Men(women) who have been esteem as "leaders" of His church established the varying denominations. The church of Christ is dedicated to unifying the "ONE" church. His church. Founded on the Word of God (the bible), and the Word of God ALONE.
...the churches of Christ salute you with a holy kiss...
Romans 16:16 .......from the churches in Orlando and South Seminole church of Christ in paticular.

Denominations were created by humans who chose to take their focus off of the real goal - salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ - to split hairs over trivial details. I personally believe God is saddened by this. The Bible tells us that we each are to "work out our own salvation in fear & trembling." To me that means that God will give me convictions as to what is right & wrong. While it may be OK for me to have a glass of wine on occasion it may be wrong for someone else if he/she is predisposed to become an alcoholioc. Just as an example. There are the "clear-cut" laws of the Ten Commandments but a lot of other things we fight about are up to the conviction of the reader. I chose my own "religion" based on what church I feel most closely matches my beliefs as given to me through prayer & searching.
Any Christian among us would have to be dedicated to unifying "one" church since there will be no orgaized "religion" in Heaven. That's our final goal - Heaven - and only one church will be there. That church is not given a label other than "Followers of Christ" or "Saved." It won't be all of one "religion" as we know them here on earth.

2 Timothy 3:16,17-----ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
The Church of Christ follows only the inspired word of God.
We do not add to or take away from God's word.
We SING---NO instruments but our hearts
We GIVE---An offering once a week as commanded Cheerfully
We Pray---As commanded , together in worship
We Partake--- Of the Communion which represents the body and blood of Christ once a week as commanded.
We Teach--- The holy Gospel every first day of the week
This is acceptable WORSHIP to God. This is how he tells us to worship him.
We are not to add to or take away from God's word. Revelation 22
Still confused??? Please contact me , I love sharing God's precious word with those who sincerely want to learn.

Difference in interpretation of the Bible. There are some points where we disagree about the meaning.
But as long as we believe "in Christ (son of God) and Him crucified" and raised from the dead we are brothers and sisters. That's enough for me.
I wish there could be one church.
I've heard prophecies about Baptists being combined with Pentecostals. I think that would be awesome. I'm pentecostal and I think Baptists are "salt of the earth".
Anyway, hope to see more of that happen.

You are right that the Bible does not have any denomination in it. Even Paul wrote against it. Denomination come from men disagreeing with each other. Some Denomination are closer to the BIBLE then others.
