Is it possible to disown one son and not the other? One of my brother's friend's dad's abused him and he said something to his mom, who blew a gasket and said he was a liar, a whore and a few other things. Now he's at children's service's because she (or he) refuses to do anything with him.

You know what else is stupid? Their other son is into drugs and drinking. Can't the father be sentanced in jail for abuse?!

When I hear a story like this it makes me totally ticked off! What kind of mother would dis-own her son for the sake of a man that abused your child? No real mother would have done what she did! I don't care if this man was the King of Siam or the President if a man abuses one of my kids he's GONE! Yes...if there is enough evidence to the little boys accusations then this man can definitely go to jail for what he did to this child. And frankly if he did this to one child he probably did the same thing to another. And maybe this is one reason the other son is drinking and on drugs did you think of that?Maybe he knew about the abuse but couldn't or was to afraid or ashamed to speak about it.Both these kids are going to have emotional problems if they don't get some professional help.I feel for them. What pain they must have gone through and then their own mother letting them down and not supporting them. The mother definitely has a mental problem too.

I myself have been dealing with child services for almost a year now due to abuse from my daughters father on her. There is something you can do and yes he can be put in jail for child abuse. All you need to do is call child services and make a report, THEY MUST ALWAYS INVESTIGATE ANY TIP THEY RECEIVE TO PROTECT THE CHILD. How old is the child? Now it really makes no sense why the child is with child services unless they removed him to keep him safe and investigate the situation, a parent can't just drop a child off because they classify that as neglect! If he has marks/bruises and is willing to talk to authorities then they can make a case against the father and there is nothing the mother or anyone can do to stop you. I know it may run through his head that the dad will come after him and hurt him or the family will try, don't let him think that. If he is with the authorities, he will always be safe and they may even place him in a foster home that is kept a secret until things die down. NO child deserves to be abused! You are all innocent and deserve better than a worthless man or even woman beating on you, You are the future of this world. Please e-mail/messasge me and keep intouch. How old are these boys? If he is being abused, Family services should investigate and punish the parent responsible. Also if the children are being abused the mother may be getting abused also (or in denial) which could be the reason she lashed out at the son who told her.
