is this something to do with your lymph glands draining toxins away? I have heard that if you have pimples on your chin it is related to your digestion etc. Does a painful and large pimple on your ear have some relevance to other parts of your body?

you can get pimples anywhere there are oil glands. If indeed it is a pimple it will over time go away. If you want it to go down faster your doctor or dermatologist can inject it with a cortisone shot. If it doesn't go away you should get it checked out. there are many other possibilities about what it could be especially up in the head/neck region. Pimples are also caused by hormones and very rarely have to do with eating or other medical problems.
