How will you spend your Yule?

It depends on your situation. Do they live with you or will you invite them over? We celebrate the solstice but have Christian family. We have a feast and exchange a few gifts, saving some for sharing at the holiday with our Christian relatives that we still celebrate with for family togetherness. We have a tradition now of decorating an outdoor tree for the birds in keeping with it being a natural, seasonal focused holiday for us. We hang edible seed ornaments and suet on it. You could invite them over to have a Yule themed dinner and present them with a Yule gift. Children might enjoy doing the bird tree thing with you and I don't think that would be threatening to their parents.
Whatever you do I hope you have a Merry Yule.

There are solstice cards and ornaments and such. Don't worry any more about freaking them out than they worry about freaking you out.
