"Better is a good name than good ointment. Better is the day of death than the date of birth. Better to go to the house of mourning than to the house of feasting, for it is the destiny of all men, and the living should take it to heart." Ecclesiastes, Chapter 7, Verses 1-2

Yes, you must be more specific. There are many verses for many occassions. You would need to be more specific. Genesis 1:1 is always a good one.
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and earth."
Because without that one, we wouldn't be in existence. So Thank God everyday for the day he has promised you.

"You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you posses eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify of me (Jesus), yet you refuse to come to me for life". John 5:39-40
Well, that two, but, it "one" many really need to read and place in their hearts before they judge others.

As you're not too specific, I'll give you my favourite:
'Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free' John 8,32
